Hi,
to do that you'll need to open the file /components/com_comparisonchart/comparisonchart.php
and remove lines from 62 to 65

or code listed below:

if (@!$GLOBALS['brand'])
{
?><div style="text-align:center;">Powered by <span title='Joomplace'><a target='_blank' title='Joomplace' href='www.joomplace.com/'>Joomla component</a></span> Comparison Charts Software 1.5.</div><?php
}

Hi thanks for the info but your suggestion didnt work i just get a blank page when i removed the code you suggested.

The code i have in the comparisonchart.php is as follows:

if (@!$GLOBALS['brand']&&$print!=1)
{
?><div style="text-align:center;">Powered by <span title='Joomplace'><a target='_blank' title='Joomplace' href='www.joomplace.com/'>Joomla component</a></span> Comparison Charts Software</div><?php
}

The only difference i can see is the &&$print!=1) code at the begining. Would this make any difference.

Thanks

Aves

If you need help, you could provide us with the temporary FTP access in the ticket, and we'd check that for you.

I am curious to learn about the conclusion to this issue: To remove the "powered by", is it safe to remove the code as described in your reply?

By the way, the code:

if (@!$GLOBALS['brand']&&$print!=1)
{
?><div style="text-align:center;padding-top:10px;">Powered by <span title='Joomplace'><a target='_blank' title='Joomplace' href='www.joomplace.com/'>Joomla component</a></span> Comparison Charts Software</div><?php
}

is located between lines 107 and 110 in my version (1.2.1) of comparisonchart.php.

I tried to do this myself but screwed my template up. I would get ann from joomplace to do it for you. All you have to do is give them admin rights and they will fix this for you.

You can take a look www.mediastorm-webhosting.com/web-hosting and see the Powered by Joomla component has gone.

Hope this helps
Tony
