I have looked at the samples on the joomplace site that you gave me links to, and found that it too displays the same code as my site does:

Sorry, it's our mistake. There should be 'chart_table1', you're right.

But the thing is the styles are written for class 'chart_table'(without 1) in your "custom.css". Because of it the colour hasn't been changed.

right, glad we got that sorted. To me it sounds like there is something wrong in the code. I have not choosen to write to "chart_table1" - or any other table for that matter. It is generated by your code. The fact that you have the same issue should be proof of that.

So here are the facts:

1. I am using template "custom" as advised
2. I am trying to change colors using the built-in color changer
3. The changes will not take effect

Conclusion: Something is wrong in the code = a bug.

Your suggest that you investigate this in your end and and come back with a solution/software update.

We've repaired it on your site.

Perhaps, you updated the component, during the reinstallation the old file "custom.css" wasn't restored (because of permissions on recording). There're old names of classes, so you couldn't edit.

As soon as we've edited "custom.css" and called the classes there as required (chart_table1), it works properly. Now you can edit and the changes are saved (if you edit, don't forget to clear the browser's cash, because sometimes it cashes css and then the changes are displayed not at once).
