TOPIC: Ultra Joomla Template problem

Ultra Joomla Template problem 1 year, 11 months ago #12152

Hello,

I just bought two Joomla templates from joomplace.com,one is Ultra & the other is Dynamic and I can't get Ultra to work!

I install it and the administrator part of Joomla has no problems after I set the template as default but if I hit refresh in the website browser window I get a message saying that this: "Direct Access to this location is not allowed."

Any ideas/suggestions anyone?

I am using the latest version of Joomla (1.5.2)

Hi,
have you enabled the legacy plugin?
The template works in Joomla 1.5 legacy only.

No I hadn't, you are are right it worked that way. Thanks.

But does that mean that the template was written for a version prior to Joomla 1.5 and it needs the plugin to work in 1.5.2? Could that theoretically affect future compatibility?

It was written and it's stated in the template's description for Joomla 1.5 (legacy mode),
if you're using Joomla 1.5.2 you'll still need the legacy plugin turned on.

If by future compatibility you mean Joomla 1.5 native mode, or Joomla 1.6, yes the template will need to be redeveloped for those.
