TOPIC: Modules Not showing, No navigation

Modules Not showing, No navigation 3 years, 7 months ago #8550

I have set up the drag and drop 2 solution and am getting a little frustrated.

Few issues:

I have set up a number of rows by columns in my structure.

Some modules show and some don't although all are published. In most of the cases bar a few they are blank.

Also I find that none of the tab navigation exists i.e there is no send to a friend, delete nor minimise. Nor can i drag nor drop!! If I make the structure 2 rows by one column then this comes back. Not really very useful though

I sense something is conflicting making this not function.
my site is http://ibikeride.com. I have though to minimise user dissatisfaction just put this under a specific menu item so you can see what is happening.

http://ibikeride.com/Spread-The-Word/

Many of my coolest modules e.g. Recent Vidoes, Random Videos form hwdvideoshare do not appear! why is this. also recently updated profiles module doe snto appear either. there are loads that don't appear.

I hope to get this sorted after paying near a $100. If not I hesitate to ask what the refund policy is?

Is something conflicting with your module on my site as so much does not work.

Finally how do you change the CSS. You use a CSS that is not from the core default template which is a shame as it is not fitting. I will amend myself if the above is fixable

Hi!
It's very likely that mootools conflict with jQuery.
Would you be able to provide the admin access to your site? We'd establish the true reason and tried to find a solution. You can mail it to support@joomplace.com. Please post in the message this thread's link.
Please find our refund policy description at: www.joomplace.com/disclaimer.html

You can change the css here: ibikeride.com/components/com_joomdragdrop/style.css

Kind regards!

Hi!
I guess it's better to post the answer here as well so that users can read it.

Our component conflicts with mootools that is enabled in the following module:
ibikeride.com/administrator/index2.php?o...ainmenu=1&id=154

We unpublished it, and you can just show it on other pages where our component won't be used. I guess that'll do.

Regarding the moment that not all of the modules are shown: modules that you are using in the component should be published for a page (Pages/Items in the module's edit page) where the component is output.

Kind regards!

OK, thanks for looking at this. Two questions:

1) Do you have any plans to release a patch that fixes this clash with Motools. The module I use that takes advantage of this is the Shout Box component/ module. Unortunatley I use this on every page at the moment and so my plan for using this on the homepage at least is not going to work. I may look to use it to control the modules on a users community builder profile page if feasible.

2) Some of the modules that I have installed don't come up as available at all when I go to create a new drag and drop module. Particularly my Video (hwdvideoshare modules). I do not think this is related to whether they are published on the menu item where component is published.

Many thanks

Daniel

Hi Daniel!
The hwdvideoshare module is unpublished.
Why do you think then it's not related with that?

Kind regards!

Ann

I am being really silly. The modules were of course not showing because they were all unpublished as you point out. I had a loss of common sense moment.

Also even better news. So long as I publish my shoutbox in a different part of my template (and not as a drag and drop module) then it happily co-exists on the same page as the drag and drop component. This is great as I can pretty much create a replica of the homepage called My Homepage and it works really well.

I will now go play with the CSS. Taking shape

Thanks again
