I'm just curious if this is still an active project? I see that the threads are a few months old.

If the project is still active, will this bridge be compatible with Joomla 1.6 when it comes out?

At the moment I am testing with joomla 1.5, smf 1.8 (I know I would have to update to 2.0)
I am also looking into using CB...How would this marriage work out?

I would appreciate any help.

yes it's still active, yes it will be once Joomla 1.6 stable comes out.

At the moment if you use 2.0 smf version it will work together with CB and Joomla 1.5. If you meet any difficulties or have any questions, let me know.

I appreciate the response. I do have one more question, the subscription entitles you to one year, correct? So that would cover any changes SMF and Joomla makes? Not that I think they are gonna make drastic changes, but I'm just curious.

One last question. I have been trying to get 2.0 to work with my 1.18 dbase to no avail. I dont know that isn't your issue however, can I use joomplace with smf 1.18?

Well I'm glad you said I can ask for help because I need it, lol. I installed the prog with no problem, but I am having an issue with installing the Community Builder plugin,(SMF_CB_[1.1-1.2]_plugin(SMF version 2.0)). The error I keep getting is the following;

Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. By the way here is my setup...

Joomla 1.5.15
SMF 2.0RC2
SMF_bridge_2.0.1

Hi,
are you installing the cb plugin from the standard Joomla install? You should go to Community Builder -> Plugin management and install it from there. This should help.

You can check the help section in the back-end of the component, basically what you need to do is:
install the component, cb plugin, and system plugin,
order the system plugin to the last position among the system plugins,
publish the installed plugins,
go to the bridge configuration section and set the path to the forum and check the options.
That should be it.
