TOPIC: How to get the quiz working?

How to get the quiz working? 3 years, 4 months ago #10409

Yesterday I purchased Quiz DeLuxe.

I have managed to install it and got the licence working

However when I tried make a question. The programme came up with the following message:

JFolder::files: Path is not a folder /home/a6330/domains/my-domain.nl/public_html/joomla/images/joomlaquiz/images/

Do I have to create a folder/directory?

Secondly when I ran the quiz component The following message was shown

Warning: jq_doquiz(/home/a6330/domains/my-domain.nl/public_html/joomla/media/joomlaquiz/default.php) [function.jq-doquiz]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a6330/domains/my-domain.nl/public_html/joomla/components/com_joomlaquiz/joomlaquiz.php on line 0

Fatal error: jq_doquiz() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/a6330/domains/my-domain.nl/public_html/joomla/media/joomlaquiz/default.php' (include_path= '.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/a6330/domains/my-domain.nl/public_html/joomla/components/com_joomlaquiz/joomlaquiz.php on line 0

It seems that certain files/directories still have to be made.

Is that correct?

Yes, if it was not created for some reason, you should create it.
The warnings show that the media/joomlaquiz folder was also not created (probably because of the permissions issue).

You should check the permissions, and create those folders.

What would be the best option?

1. adjust some permission rights en manually create folders (which folders and where?)

2. adjust the permission rights (which folders) delete and do a new install (or would that lead to license problems?

Kind Regards

Hi!
This doesn't matter actually, what's more convenient to you, a re-install would also do.

kind regards!

Hi Support;

I have just purchased the Joomla Quiz Deluxe bundle and have the same issue as this thread:

Warning: jq_doquiz(/var/www/vhosts/projectstrada.org/httpdocs/v1/media/joomlaquiz/default.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/projectstrada.org/httpdocs/v1/components/com_joomlaquiz/joomlaquiz.php on line 0

Fatal error: jq_doquiz(): Failed opening required '/var/www/vhosts/projectstrada.org/httpdocs/v1/media/joomlaquiz/default.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/projectstrada.org/httpdocs/v1/components/com_joomlaquiz/joomlaquiz.php on line 0

I have checked the install zip and there is no directory /media/joomlaquiz/default.php.

I have tried re-install and same result.

Can you advise what directories and files need created or supply them in a zip thanks.

SC

Hi!
It indeed means that no directory was created, most likely because of the permissions issue.
You should either set the media folder to 777 and reinstall the component, or create a joomlaquiz folder in the media directory which then includes the template folders (joomlaquiz_delux; joomlaquiz_simple; joomlaquiz_standard) and the default.php language file.

kind regards!
