TOPIC: Trying to reinstall to a subdomain

Trying to reinstall to a subdomain 5 years, 9 months ago #309

I'm attempting to reinstall to a subdomain but seem to be having trouble.

I created the subdomain
then created the site manager file for the sub-site
Also created the site file for the default site

The path I put in for the subsite is:

/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/domain.com/subdomain/test/httpdocs/
(test) being the name of the subdomain

and the url is (test.domain.com)

Is this correct because I keep getting errors. I know youcan't reinstall to another domain but this is a subsite (subdomain) of the current domain .

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong ( this is a virtual server)

Post edited by: cwking, at: 2006/04/21 00:49

What kind of errors do you run into?

Whether a script is actually allowed to write to the files of another domain or another sub domain is a matter of the server configuration... sub domains are more likely to work though... but any possible error message may help to identify the problem... also you could try to set the error reporting to the highest (in your Global Configuration).
