TOPIC: Cannot Install (Error cannot copy php)

Cannot Install (Error cannot copy php) 4 years, 10 months ago #3218

I just purchased this product and cannot get it installed. I keep on getting the error when installing:

Could not copy PHP install file.

How can I get this resolved?

I am running Joomla 1.0.12

Thanks,

Thank you for the reply.

I was able to final get the install to work after I did the following:

1. Extracted the delivered zip file, as the zip file contact a folder and a txt file.
2. Then I created a zip file of all the contents that were in the folder.

Once I did that the install was successful.

Hello,

I'm running into the same problem, but the above mentioned method did'nt work for me.

It seems to me that the com_mscontrol.zip file, for whatever reason is corrupt.

Any suggestion on how to fix this is appreciated.

Hi,

The archive which you got has internal archive. First of all you should unzip the main archive then upload the internal archive to your site in installation section.

Hello,

I'm not sure what you mean?

I got a com_mscontrol.zip file. That zip file holds a text file in the roor, and in the com_mscontrol directory a number of php files, 1 xml file and a gif file.

There is no other zip file.

Please note, I did extract the master file, and was able to install com_desitemanager_proftp withou any problems.

Hello Hans,

Ups. Can you delete a text file from archive yourself? / or you should zip the com_mscontrol directory. Then you can upload it on server. But before please delete directory \"com_mscontrol\" form \"you_site\administrator\components\" and \"you_site\components\". If you can't do it please write to support@joomplace.com so we will help you.

Hello Anatolii,

That did the trick. com_mscontrol is now installed.

Now testing to see if everything is working as expected

Please delete the directory \"com_mscontrol\" form \"my_site.com/administrator/components\" and \"my_site.com/components\".
