TOPIC: SEF and MultisiteSearch

SEF and MultisiteSearch 4 years, 1 month ago #5753

Hi,

We have the standard Joomla SEF activated but search result URL are not SEF friendly. Also when clicking on search results we get the error \"you are not authorised to view this resource\"

Running J 1.0.13

Any Ideas?

Hello HAL!
One of the reasons that SEF doesn't work may be that the search is performed on the other sites, not on the local one. But if SEF is set to redirect addresses from no-SEF to SEF, then everything should work fine.

In order not to view the note \"you are not authorised to view this resource\", please try to check if the content is visible for guests, because when users are redirected to another site, they are not logged into there.

Thanks Ann,

I'm not sure how I can set SEF redirect addresses from no-SEF to SEF? As I'm Using the normal Joomla SEF there are no available configuration settings. Is there something I can set in the .htaccess file that control this?

It is impossible when using standard sef.

Why do you need such urls if you are using standard sef? In any case search engine will not navigate to your other sites from mssearch.
