Hi,

I am new in Joomla, just trying your component in there.

On my site it shows "This survey not available now", if i don't enter through admin account on my website.

Even after loging in, it says "FAILED TO LOAD A SURVEY DATA"

As you mentioned in one of the threats that try connecting with Main Menu, it is not even showing my Survey category name or anything

Please help

If you're creating a menu item, you should press in the menu New->Survey Force Deluxe (in Joomla 1.5) and name a new menu item, then go to Survey Force->Configuration ->Menu manager and assign a survey to this menu item.
If you're using Joomla 1.0 that's gonna be a component menu item in the menu.

You should also check the survey's access in the properties, and expiry date. Alternatively you can mail the temporary access to your site to support@joomplace.com and we'll check what's wrong there.
Kind regards!

What do you mean by more graphical format?

When you create/edit a survey you select whether to show a thank you message at the end of the survey or show the results. If you select the results - they will be presented in the graphical format.
If you want to see them in the back-end, go to the list of surveys, check the survey and press View results. You'll also see them in graphical representation.

And in Configuration->Result Show tab you can select whether to show results in graph charts or pie charts.

Hi Ann,

I was just trying various step in the survey produced by me
For my survey question category i have used LikertScale, where i want which ever question they select it gets point for that
if you see the following link shubhena-ratnena.co.uk/index.php?option=...force&Itemid=37, you can see that all questions are having same scale, if somebody selects -2 in the list then his points should be -2, and later in next question if he selects 2 then his total should be 0. but i don't know how to do that.
Please help

survey component was not intended to collect points or scores,
adding this functionality will require component's modification.

If you just have such a numerical scale and the number of points equals these numbers, then it can be done in a couple of hours. But what should be done with the total sum of points? Should they be shown at the end? Should they be included in the reports?
Please let me know if you're interested in this cuystom modification.

Hi Ann,
I’ve got a little problem with SurveyForceDeluxe. I hope you can help me.
Here is a little guide what I’ve done so far:
I created a new Survey. I checked important properties like Expire Date (I chose April 28th 2010). The Survey is active and the permissions are for public users, ControllType: None
Then I created Questions.
The types of the questions are Lickerscale and Short Answer.
All questions of the survey are published, no one of these has an Importance Scale and no one is a compulsory question.

I created a New Menu item for SurveyForceDeluxe and bind it to my survey. A link to the survey is available on my website.
When I enable the welcome Screen in the properties I can see my description on the screen so I think the connection with the menu item seems to work.
But when I hit the START Button the Error Message FAILED TO LOAD A SURVEY DATA appears.

Could it be that the configuration of the permissions is wrong?

Please, can you help me?

Please let me know if you have got any further description about the structure or configuration.

Thank you!

Maggi

Hi Maggi,
your configuration seems perfectly ok,
can you please show the link to your survey - so that we check why you see this error?

Hi Ann,

thanks for your quick reply!

Currently the link for the survey is only visible for registered users on our website with a special permission.
Can you please create an Account? After that tell me your username and we'll give you the permission to see the link.
Our website is www.traicen.com
Unfortunately the hole Website is in german, but I can get you though the link if you need some help.

I would be kind if you can do this for us.

What do you think? Is it possible to do it that way?

Kind regards,

Maggi

Hi,

we made this survey public
try this:

www.traicen.com/index.php?option=com_surveyforce&Itemid=180

Can you get to the Survey?
I tried it without beeing logged in, and then it works ^^.
But then I logged in again and got the same error Message like before.
Now, I gave free permissions for the survey to registered Users.
For testing issues, we made an Account for you, too.
Can you give me your emailadress?
Then I can send you your Username and Password.
You can find the 'Login' link below the moving flash pictures in the left corner.
There you have to click on Login. Then a Login screen pops up.
After you're logged in, follow the link in the beginning of this message.

Can you try this way, too?
That would be very nice.

Greetings,

Maggi

Hi Maggi,
found the registration, registered as tester, logged in, and went to this survey. However it loaded successfully and we were not able to see the error. Same thing in Firefox and IE7. What browser do you use?
maybe this is the specific user? or happens for all of them?

Hi Ann,

this is a little bit misterious. I logged in with the Account tha I created for you. Then I tried to open the survey, successfully! Then I made a 2nd try, then I made a 3rd try. And it works!
But it still not work with my Account (it is a specific Account), so I think there is the problem.
Tomorrow i'll have a meeting with our Joomla! specialist and we will change some options in my account.
Of course, if we have a sollution, i would inform you about it.
In other case we'll need some more advice from you.

Thank you for your support, so far !

Bye bye

Write you tomorow

Greetings

Maggi
