Hi there,

Thanks for a useful looking component. Some questions:

What does Level mean in the testimonial?

On Modules where the page is tagged, how do i get rid of the word "Array" that appears at the bottom left of the module?

On the Testimonials page how do I get rid of the little number that appears at the bottom left of each testimonial:

When inserting a testimonial into content:
How do I insert an untagged testimonial?
Is there any way I can insert a random (on each fetch) tagged or untagged testimonial?

I can work these out from the code or fix them but, hey, I paid you for this

Regards,
Paul Whipp

Hi Paul,
levels are just created for the filtering purposes.
As for the issues with screen captures, can you please provide us a link where we can check this ont he site? Will provide you with the solution asap then.

Regarding other questions:
How do I insert an untagged testimonial?
- there is no currently a possilibility to do that

Is there any way I can insert a random (on each fetch) tagged or untagged testimonial?
-yes you can insert a random (but only tagged) testimonial: {testimonial tag testim_count} like e.g. {testimonial microsoft 10}

Hi Ann,

Thanks for the prompt response.

I am testing the component locally. I have placed it on a staging site where you can see the issues but you will need a login.

Can you email me directly and I'll give you the necessary login details.

Not sure where to report bugs:

Annoying:

You cannot include more than one testimonial in content. If you include a second {testimonial ...} the page crashes with a fatal error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare mainarea() (previously declared in /home/paul/websites/amindmatters/components/com_testimonials/templates/mindmatters/default.php:23) in /home/paul/websites/amindmatters/components/com_testimonials/templates/mindmatters/default.php on line 62

This is potentially very nasty if the articles with testimonials included in them get presented on a blog layout page or some such.

I had to fix this because it would have been a showstopper.

The number I cited appearing at the bottom of each testimonial on the testimonials page is only present with the default template.

The read more link on the testimonials module does not work properly. It takes you to the testimonials page but not to the correct position on the page to read the relevant testimonial (even if the page is set to view all testimonials).

The read more link changes to black after the first presentation because the fade js knocks out its colour. (I worked around this by commenting out the relevant js - the whole color fade thing really needs to work properly - ideally ditch the color settings completely and fade from the relevant css color to the css background-color).

The Add testimonial button text misses the rather garish button graphic for all templates except blacktip.

Your checkout! One of the worst I've used. How many steps and emails!!?? You could probably double your sales by dumping it and using Paypal express which works fine with VM.

Documentation In addition to the obvious user guide, you need guides for customizing the templates and module presentation.

Minor:

The template list shows hidden folders (so .svn appears as a template)

If you run through your templates they all work but classic throws this warning for each testimonial:
Warning: Missing argument 3 for testimonial(), called in /home/paul/websites/amindmatters/components/com_testimonials/templates/classic/default.php on line 38 and defined in /home/paul/websites/amindmatters/components/com_testimonials/templates/classic/default.php on line 214
