I do not see any choices for the basic parameters. When I click the heading nothing appears. Shouldn't I see parameters under the basic section?

Hi,
you mean the configuration setting of the component? It's not very clear, a scren sot might be helpful.
If you turn on the maximum error reporting, you still see the blank screen?
