TOPIC: Upgrade

Upgrade 10 years 7 months ago #4846

I'm still running version 2.0 and need to upgrade to 2.5. I couldn't find an upgrade on the site.

Can you direct me to the right place so I can download and install?

Thanks
Stewart

Ok - I have the new version. Are there upgrade steps listed anywhere? I just want to make sure that I do the upgrade properly without losing any of my data.

Is it just a simple uninstall of the old component and an install of the new version?

Will I need to rebuild any of my sites or anything?

Thanks
Stewart

Hi Stewart!
Yes, it's the uninstall of the old component and an install of the new version. Your sites will be left the way they were. But you'll have to update the databases.

When you say I'll need to update the databases, what exactly do you mean? I'm relatively web-dev savy, but it's imperative that I don't break anything as we are in the middle of a wave of renewals! :)

I am running 2.2. I went into the members area and it said there was an updated version which I downloaded. It's

com_mssubscription_deluxe3.0.0_for_joomla_1.0.x.zip

How do I upgrade to this version?
