Hi all,

I searched, and couldn't find a definite answer to my question.

I am running a large site that will soon be upgraded to Joomla 2.5x. The forum runs on VB, also to be upgraded to the latest version.

I have users who are just registered, but also users who are paying visitors, who are either patrons or premium patrons. Both the paid groups are set up as 'author' in Joomla. Some of these subscriptions are from new users, others from current users who are upgrading from their old level.

Right now I am running bbsync to synchronize my users, and when someone purchases a membership (in VB), the subscription software upgrades them in VB, but I must manually upgrade (or downgrade when expired) their group in Joomla. This creates a lot of work.

Does your bridge have settings to automatically set upgrading users in VB to 'author' in Joomla, or downgrading users back to 'registered' automatically when their status changes in VB?

Thank you for your help!

Vicky Rowe

Hello Vicky,

Thank you for being interested in our extensions.

Unfortunately, the component won't allow changing groups automatically.

+1 on this. Would be nice and will be helpful to most of the users if this gets including in the next version release.
If all else fail, use brute force
