TOPIC: Moving our quiz attempts

Moving our quiz attempts 1 year 2 months ago #26663

We have users taking the quizes and our database is becoming quite large. But we need a 6 year history of the data. I was wondering if we could move the quiz attempts into a seperate database since it's only needed for data / legal reasons we can also manipulate them at a later date? We currently have 1,746,486 in _quiz_r_student_choice, 6,390,126 in _quiz_r_student_hotspot, 10,711,276 in _quiz_r_student_question.

We currently have a custom component and some custom development to archive quiz attempts so the user can re-take the quiz at a later date and the previous result completely hidden, we just added an archived database column.

I was thinking we could duplicate the tables with the prefix archived_data and instead of updating the records we move them.. So my question is where and what is the linkage for the users data whom is taking the quiz/completing them? so I could write the query to move the data and all valid date?

Many thanks
