Can't see JoomBlog in Components menu 5 years 7 months ago #22709

Hi there

I've installed JoomBlog (1.0.8) as Super User and all is fine, I can see the component and do all the things I want to do. However, a second user of the site who as assigned to the Administrator group cannot see the JoomBlog component at all! There are no problems with other component installed on the site.

I have looked through all the resources possible but just can't figure out how to make the JoomBlog component visible to my Administrator user.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Stephane,

I believe that this cannot be caused by atering permissions in the component itself, but in core Joomla. Try changing Joomla Global configuration - Permissions. If the issue persists, feel free to initiate a ticket through our HelpDesk.

Thank you Maria for getting back. The settings in Global Configuration look fine. All but 'Super Users' action is set to Allowed for user group Administrator.
Whatever I try it's not working so I have submitted a ticket.

I'm experiencing the same issue.
do you have an sql file available to remove all instances of Joomblog from the mysql db after removal of the tool through the backend module managment method?
if not, what tables do need to be checked for joomblog entries.
After this is cleaned I hope to re-install and import the blogs, re-creating a clean environment and again having the ability for other users to add posts to the blog from the Front- and Back-end.
These are both not possible at the moment.
