Johans,

'Free quizzes' state for actually free quizzes, the ones you don't need to buy. 'Paid quizzes' are created for selling. It can be done manually using Quiz Deluxe's Manual Payments or via VirtueMart extension. Once the quiz is purchased, it will be available for a user who bought it. If you're not planning to sell quizzes, there's no necessity to make them 'paid'.

Best regards

I changed a paid learning path to free, and it disconnected all user data.

Is this expected behavior?

Steve,

In general, yes. The validation process of whether a learning path is accessible or not is different depending on its Paid/Free status. If a learning path is paid, firstly, it's checked if a user has purchased it or not. Therefore, records for paid and free learning paths and quizzes are stored in different tables and if you change the type, 'paid' user results won't replace 'free ones'.
