I've added 28 items to my JoomPortfolio and cannot assign orders to them. They appear in the front end at random and the order list in the back end displays all "1". (See Below)

I've tried switching the order option in Settings but it does not change.

Is there a way around this?

Hello Kaatt,

First of all, you can choose between the Ascending and Descending ordering (admin area - Components - JoomPortfolio - Settings - Ordering).

Also, in the Management - Manage Items section, you can set ordering within sections and categories. Select a section and/or a category and specify the ordering for each of them.

I tried both and it doesn't change the order. The sections & categories are ordered fine. It's the items within the sections that seem to be randomized.

Same problem. I can't change the ordering of my items inside JoomPortfolio. Joomla 1.7.3, JoomPortfolio 2.0.2.

It appears to be forced to order by Item ID.

I can input numbers in the Ordering fields but there is no "Save Order" button or function.

The Up/Down arrows in the Ordering column do not change the order.

Please help, I can provide Admin access if needed.

Hello guys,

We have implemented necessary changes to fix the bug and made the updated version available for download. Please reinstall the component. Note that the version number remained unchanged, i.e. it is still 2.0.2.

If the problem is still there, please let us know.

It doesn't work on my end, but I'm fine with it listing in order by ID.

If it were to get modified, it'd be easier, but I've adapted to it as it is.

Did not fix the problem.

Still no option to save ordering and still no effect when clicking up/down arrows in "Manage Items"

Would you be so kind to provide temporary admin access?

The point is that another customer complained about the issue as well, but now he says it's resolved.

Once the access is provided, we will double check the settings. Please also specify if you have customized the component and if we are allowed to reinstall it, if needed.

Mine isn't technically fixed...I just have adapted the way I insert the items so it appears in the order I want.

It wasn't actually you who I was speaking about :) Another customer submitted a ticket with a similar problem.

Anyway, soon we'll check the website that Seth specified in his ticket and let you know the results, if it's of any interest to you.

hi

i've the lastest version of joomportfolio.
and i've the same trouble.
i would like to change the item's order in the admin and nothing happens on the frontend.
And each time i save the ordering, the system erase picture oh the first item in the databse
