Few Q - category delete & obit. restrict... 5 years 5 months ago #22243

Hi guys,
at the moment we're using joomla 2.5.8 & memorials 1.1.2

I have few question that I have to ask...

First: How can I delete category, there is no delete button.

Second: Is there a possibility to add password protected obituary?

Third: Latest version: 1.1.2 (build 003) How can we upgrade to the latest version with this build 003?

Hello Robert,

See the answers below.

1) The option to delete categories is missing, indeed. We'll add it within a couple of days and send you and update.

2) Unfortunately, no, there is no such feature.

3) To upgrade to the latest version, please go to your members area and download the latest package. Install it over the old one.

Thank you for the answers...

1. We will wait for that before going live.
2. Could you advise us for the second issue? Maybe recommend some plugin etc that will do the job?
3. Well when I go to the member area there is no "1.1.2 build 003" only 1.1.2 is this mean that this is the latest version?
4. I think I found some unclosed DIV tag. We are using Graffito from the RT and everything is OK, there is only one small issue when user open an item. I just added closing DIV at the end of the views\item\tmpl\default.php and now is OK.

Hello Robert,

1. We've applied the changes to fix the issue. Please proceed to your members area, download the latest archive you see there and install it over the old package. No prior uninstall is needed.

2. To be honest, we can't think of any specific software. Perhaps, extensions.joomla.org may help you find one. However, note that whatever product you find, if any, it is likely to require further integration with our component, i.e. they may not work together by default. Perhaps, a workaround could be a paid site subscription which will enable only members, i.e. registered users, to submit memorials. Just a thought.

3. Yes, the version which you see in your members area is always the latest unless your subscription has expired.

Thanks for the answers :)

Just one question:
Can Online Memorials Directory process content plugins on the output?

Hi Robert,

You are welcome.

Regarding your question, it would be no, the memorials extension doesn't process content plugins.
