The installation package for JoomBlog component is valid for Joomla 1.5-2.5  and includes the following archives:

 

com_joomblog_v1.0.6.zip - the installation archive for the component.
mod_jb_archive.zip - the module displaying the archive of all posts.
mod_jb_categories.zip - the module displaying JoomBlog categories.
mod_jb_latestposts.zip - the module displaying latest posts.
mod_jb_popularbloggers.zip - the module displaying popular blogs.
mod_jb_tags.zip - the module displaying tags.
mod_jb_blogs.zip - the module displaying latest blogs.
plg_joomblog.zip - the installation archive for the JoomBlog plugin. The plugin adds the Images button into the editor when posts are added to allow users to create their own folders to store images.
plg_joomblogcontent.zip - the installation archive for JoomBlog content plugin.
plg_social.zip - xtd-button plugin for {social} tag.
plg_search_joomblog.zip - the search blog posts plugin.
plg_joombloguser.zip - bloggers synchronization plugin.
plg_joomblogposts.zip - a special JomSocial application that allows showing personal blog posts on JomSocial profile page.

TIPS & TRICKS

When you are trying to install already installed archive, the following window will appear:

If this window appears, the component you are going to install has been already installed (or It has been included to the main installation archive). Just skip this component and continue installing next one.

 

To install the Joomla JoomBlog component, do the following:

 

1.In your Members Area, download the component to your local machine.

TIPS & TRICKS

If you purchased the component for a single domain, before the link to download appears, you need to type in the domain name in the special field in your Members Area. Then you will see the Download button.

 

2.Extract the files from the main archive.

 

3.On your Web site, go to Extensions > Extension Manager:

4.On the Install tab, click Browse, select the archive from the folder with the component on your machine, and then click Upload & Install:

5.Repeat step 4 for every archive in the component folder.

TIPS & TRICKS

The plugins you install for the component by default have a Disable () status. To be able to use them, go to Extensions > Extension manager > Manage, check the box against the needed items and click Enable button to get an Enable () status.
